Should I just buy a cheap electronic cigarette? This is a question that I find a lot of people ask me when I talk to them about electronic smokeless cigarettes and they become interested in them. After one of my friends goes and does a little research on a brand I recommend, such as the Safe Cig or Green Smoke, they think the prices for starter kits are a little steep so they do some more research and find cheaper alternatives. I guess their thinking is that they don’t want to spend too much money on a product that they might not like, or may not stick with. But the simple fact is that if you go and buy a cheap electronic cigarette, that is poor quality, you will never like these devices and be back smoking tobacco in no time at all.

It is for this reason that I always try and guide them to a quality brand. This doesn’t mean that you have to spend a huge amount of money to get a good product. It just so happens that my favored devices cost a little bit more, but it is possible to spend less and get an E cigarette that is really good. If one of my friends just said in the first place “I don’t want to spend a lot of money on one of these things” I would point them towards a cheaper E cigarette.

So, this is the next question most people will ask me. So far there are two brands which I would class as being cheaper, that I would use myself and also recommend to people. These are –

For your $65 you get a pretty basic package, the V2 Economy Kit, but it is more than enough to get you going and to be honest the only thing that it doesn’t include that I would want is the V2 Portable Charging Case, but you can buy this separately if you want to stick with the V2. They also offer a range of cool flavors like Cola, Peppermint and Cherry, along with the usual tobacco and menthol options.

Blu Cigs – Cost: $69.95

The next choice would be Blu Cigs. Blu Cigs have been around for quite a while and have been one of the big players for much of that time. Compared to the V2 the Blu might be just a little bit behind in terms of quality of smoke, but you do get quite a bit more for you money. For an extra $5 you get a portable charging case and an extra battery, though you get fewer refill cartridges.

Which One To Choose?

To be honest you are not going to go wrong if you buy either of these two brands, but for me the V2 is the one you should be buying, even though I haven’t used it a much as the Blu and you get less in the starter kit, I still think that you get a much better smoking experience from it.
