Disposable E Cigarettes – Who Are They For? Are They Good?
Around many electronic and smokeless cigarette websites and forums there has been quite a bit talk about disposable E cigarettes, and many of my friends have been asking me about them as well. Why/when would you use one and are they any good? I don’t claim to have tried every disposable electronic cigarette on the market, but I’ve used a few of them so I’ll tell you what I think of them so far.
Who Are Disposable E Cigarette For?
As someone who uses regular E cigarette everyday, by regular I mean that the cartridges can be replaced and batteries recharged, they’re regular for me at least, I don’t really see a need for disposable E cigs. To use them all the time would be hugely expensive, many times more expensive than refillable devices, so that rules them out for me before looking any further. But after I gave it a little thought I came to the conclusion that they are perfect for some people.
Mainly, I think, they are ideal for people who don’t want to stop using tobacco. There are a lot of people out there who just love smoking tobacco and have no interest in giving it up for any thing else. But because of the world we live in and the laws that are in place these people are not able to get the nicotine fix that they need, at their leisure. They might not be able to smoke at certain places at work, they could spend quite a bit of time on long distance flights, train or bus journeys and there fore can’t get their nicotine fix when they desire it. With a disposable E cigarette they wouldn’t have to worry about this, they can “smoke” when ever they want to during these times, then after they can go back to their tobacco.

In cases like this one of these smokeless cigarettes would last them quite a while, maybe as long as a month for some people, this is because the nicotine liquid in a disposable device, and the battery life, lasts 2 or 3 times longer than a regular E cigarette, so you can get between 50 and 60 cigarettes worth of smoking time. The reason for this is that disposable E cigs are quite a bit bigger than refillable devices, this is so they can hold more liquid and also have slightly bigger batteries.
They are also a good option for people who don’t know if smokeless cigarettes are going to be right for them, this is a way for you to give them a try without spending a lot of money on a starter kit. In most cases a disposable E cigarette will cost between $10 and $15. The 60 cigarettes worth of smoking time should be about time for you to decide if they are going to work for you or not, then you can buy a reusable device which will cost quite a bit of money right now, but will save you quite a lot of cash over the longer period. And if E Cigarettes are not right for you then you have only spend about $15.
Are Disposable E Cigarettes Any Good?
As I said at the start of this, I’ve not tried all of the disposable devices that are on the market, but I have tried two of the more popular models – the Premium E Cigarette, and the Apollo. With these two devices I think I’ve hit the top and pretty close bottom of the quality ladder.
Disposable Premium E Cigarette

The non disposable premiums are not all that good to start with, they aren’t terrible, but they do have a lot of work to do to get their product up to the level of V2 Cigs or The Safe Cig, the same can be said for their disposable item as well. I really don’t rate it all that much, the flavor isn’t great and the vapor production is pretty poor as well. I went for a “full strength – 16mg” device and to be honest I’d have said it was nicotine free, there is next to no throat hit from it and there doesn’t seem to be much of a nicotine kick from it either. Needless to say, if you’re thinking about buying a disposable, don’t buy this one.
Disposable Apollo E Cigarette
The Apollo is totally different. If you have read my Apollo Review then you will know that I actually quite like their regular E cigarette, but when I tried their menthol disposable E cig I was amazed that it was actually a bit better than the refillable cigarette. The flavor was the biggest difference, the menthol was really, really nice. The rest of the things I look for, throat hit, vapor etc were all roughly the same. I was pretty impressed with it, and it lasted for an age as well, somewhere between 50 and 60 cigarettes worth or use, really impressive.
If you have been thinking about giving smokeless cigarettes a chance but don’t want to jump into anything, or you have another reason for wanting to use them, then I would suggest giving the Apollo disposable device a shot. I’m not claiming that its the best E cigarette on the market, I don’t know, there might be something better out there, but I really like their refillable device and their disposable is even better than that, so in my books its got to be worth a try.
